Our chapter’s mission is to conserve, restore, and sustain the Upper Mississippi River for future generations.

The Izaak Walton League of America’s mission is to conserve, maintain, protect and restore the natural resources of the United States of America, including particularly, but not exclusively, soil, air, woods, waters and wildlife.

We will sponsor, share, and cultivate opportunities for the education of the public for the Upper Mississippi River.

Our goal is to provide information on how you can get out there and enjoy the river as well as how you can learn about state and federal managment of the river and how you can make your voice heard when policy is enacted on Upper Mississippi River

Ready to take the next step?

Join us at our monthly meetings and see what we are up to!

We meet at 6 pm, the second Monday of each month, usually at the Nature Place in La Crosse Wisconsin at 789 Myrick Park Dr, La Crosse, WI 54601. We may meet other places - so stay tuned to our Facebook Page!

We aim to conserve, maintain, protect, and restore the Upper Mississippi River and all its related environments as envisioned by Will Dilg during the founding of the League and the creation of the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge during the early 1920s.
